Part of The Last Word, a festival where words come alive.
The Clink is no ordinary pop-up restaurant.
Enjoy a two course traditional pub lunch that’s been lovingly prepared and served by prisoners currently in catering training.
The afternoon will feature an informal panel discussion with poets Joelle Taylor and Adam Kammerling exploring themes of art, reform and masculinity within the judicial system.
Clink Events provides bespoke catering beyond the walls of the prison and provides the prisoners in training the opportunity to gain experience in event catering. Food is prepared by serving prisoners training towards gaining their Level 1 and 2 NVQs in Professional Cookery in our production training kitchen at HMP Downview.
The event will include an in conversation with Joelle Taylor, Adam Kammerling plus two members of the Pentonville Roundhouse prison reform project, PENTUP. Joelle and Adam are poets, facilitators and writers who have been working with a group of young men to explore prison reform and masculinity which will form the basis of the in conversation.
There will be additional support for those who may need it on the day, please let us know if you have any specific needs in advance.
