Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller produce a dark, danceable form of electro-pop under the name Boy Harsher. Their cinematic sound blends minimal, EBM-inspired beats and heavy synth textures with Matthews’ dynamic, sensual vocals, exploring themes of desire, fantasy, and loneliness.
Since forming in 2014, the duo has built a massive cult following through their gripping live shows and an acclaimed catalogue of hook-filled records. From their breakout underground hit Pain to their celebrated 2019 album Careful and the innovative 2022 short film and soundtrack The Runner, Boy Harsher continually pushes the boundaries of modern synth-pop.
