A deeply personal show from a brand new company, made right here at the Roundhouse.
I am living under and in the aftermath of an explosion. There are two of us here. One to tell the stories, the other to build a home…
Puffball is a new production devised and performed by a company of incredible professional circus artists and young performers, all of whom identify as LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning) in collaboration with renowned artist Mark Storor.
Inspired by personal stories that are exhilarating, heart-breaking, devastating and joyful, the show will be the culmination of a major year-long project working with young people identifying as LGBTQ from towns and cities across the UK.
Fusing storytelling with beautiful circus performances, Puffball is set to a live score by award-winning composer Jules Maxwell.
The project builds on the success of The Fat Girl Gets a Haircut, the Roundhouse’s ground-breaking production created in collaboration with Mark Storor and a cast of 12-17 year-olds that met with widespread critical acclaim in the national press.
