Love music and want to make it your own?
Join Saturday Sounds at Roundhouse for hands-on, creative fun. Every week, you’ll choose one of three exciting streams to focus on: DJing, Music Production, or Songwriting.
Whether you’re spinning tracks, producing beats, or writing lyrics, our friendly professional tutors will guide you every step of the way. You’ll learn new skills, meet other young music makers, and leave each session feeling more confident and creative.
These sessions are perfect for complete beginners. All you need is curiosity — and a love for music!
Each week, you’ll pick one stream at the start of the session:
If one strand is already full, you’ll be asked to join one of the other two — this helps make sure everyone gets a great experience.
We’ll have a relaxed showcase for participants on Saturday 28 Nov — more details to come after the term starts. You can choose to perform or just come along to watch and enjoy a creative, friendly space.
No experience needed. These sessions are perfect if you’ve never made music before, or if you want to try a new strand alongside friends.
This is a drop-in session. No need to book – just drop in and sign in at the Roundhouse creative studios front desk (booking opens 30 minutes before the session starts). It’s first-come, first-served with limited spaces. Latecomers will be admitted only if there’s space.
You will be asked to choose one skill (DJing/ Music Production/ Songwriting) to learn in the session.
If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.
We are committed to supporting D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse young people, those with medical conditions, access requirements or any lived experience that may require adaptation, support or sensitivity. If there is anything you would like to let us (our youth workers, tutors or staff) know that will support your enjoyment and access, you can do so by emailing us at advicebase@roundhouse.org.uk, and we will contact you to discuss further how to best support your engagement.
