Ready to bring your own stories to life on screen?

Dive into our 8-week stop-motion animation project and create a short film from scratch. Under guidance from award-winning filmmakers from the Rainbow Collective, you’ll learn how to tell stories, create your own characters and film and edit together a short animated film.

What you’ll gain:

  • Animation skills: Learn professional stop-motion techniques, special effects, and green-screen filming used by world-class studios like Aardman (Wallace and Gromit).
  • Tell your stories: Build original characters, write unique scripts, and design entire cinematic worlds.
  • Technical knowledge: Record your own sound effects and voice-overs in a professional studio setting.
  • Meet new people: This is a great chance to meet other young people with the same interests.
  • Friends and family premiere: The film will be shown in a closed screening for friends and family, as part of a series of short films produced by young people in the Roundhouse Studios. You can watch previous films produced here.

Who it’s for:

This project is specially designed for young people aged 11–14 with a passion for storytelling. Absolutely no prior film or animation experience is required to join – just bring your imagination!
