As we celebrate 20 years of electrifying poetry, the Roundhouse Poetry Slam remains one of our most anticipated events—first hitting the stage in 2006 and becoming the heart of The Last Word Festival in 2013. After battling through seven national heats, the most exciting voices in spoken word will put their original work to the test, leading up to the Final in our Main Space, where one poet will be crowned Roundhouse Slam Champion at the Final in our Main Space.
This year’s London heats will be judged by Arji Manuelpillai, Tife Kusoro, and Maureen Onwunali across three nights at the Roundhouse Studio Theatre.
Tue 11 March: Taking part are Samuel Browne, Shermya Modupe, Maya Altmann, Mika Cassingham-Tourell, Angel Witney, Chiara Lari, Ife Alabi, Vignesh Venkataramaiah, Chidera Ikechukwu, Ellis Jupiter, and Tyler Austin.
