The Last Word, our festival of spoken word, storytelling and live performance returns for the third year running from 24 May – 18 June.

Showcasing the genre’s original trailblazers, rising stars and the finest home grown Roundhouse talent, highlights include Words First Live, a partnership between BBC Radio 1Xtra and the Roundhouse, featuring Kate Tempest and six of the hottest young spoken word artists from across the UK.

Also don’t miss Debris Stevenson’s Dirtee Verse, a lyrical reinterpretation of Dizzee Rascal’s award-winning debut album Boy In Da Corner.

Poet, battle rapper and teacher Mark Grist returns to The Last Word alongside poet Tim Clare with their new show Only You Can Save Poetry and finally Burning Eye present a special afternoon performance that will entertain parents in need of culture, amusement and adult conversation, Mum’s The Word.
