Returning for a second year, Centre 59 is offering London schools throughout the months of June and July a free, 60-minute taster workshop for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils, and community groups working with young people aged 11-25.
The workshop will be focused on the key principles of Centre 59’s methodology; exploration and play, using text and improvisation techniques to create stories.
What young people get:
Centre 59 is an accessible space and entry point for young people to the artform of storytelling in theatre and the performing arts. Core to Centre 59 is the mission to build young artists who learn to share their own stories through a programme of writing, acting, directing and producing.
Centre 59 is a creative partnership from Roundhouse and 59% Productions, spearheaded by Roundhouse Associate Artistic Director Daniel Kaluuya. With Director Evelyn Duah and Associate Director Louie Keen.
