Twenty years ago, the Roundhouse was transformed from a derelict railway building into a multi-arts performance venue and youth charity.
Our mission was simple and urgent: to invest in the next generation of creative talent.
Since 2006, we have established ourselves as the largest creative youth centre in the UK, inside an iconic Grade II* listed performance space. From the legendary artists who have graced our circular stage to over 10,000 young people a year who join our creative programmes each year, we are fueling a diverse and thriving creative industry.
In 2026, we’re celebrating this achievement and pledging to:
We pledge to engage 15,000 young people annually. We will do this by building skills in our Creative Studios, expanding Roundhouse Works for entrepreneurs, and launching a new creative digital platform to reach young people across the UK.
We will deliver a rich performance programme in our iconic venue, including festivals like Three Sixty, the Poetry Slam, and Centre 59—the theatre programme founded by Daniel Kaluuya.
We commit to offering world-class gigs and performances in a space where every guest knows that every £1 they spend directly provides access to creative opportunities for young people.
In 2026 Roundhouse needs to raise £2,000,000 to provide space and opportunities for thousands of young people to build skills, community and pathways to employment. There are many ways to support them, such as:
