When you dream big, you fall hard.
From award-winning theatre maker and former GB long-distance runner Ben Norris, The Distance is a new play exploring what elite sport does to young bodies and minds. When so much of our identity is tied to what we do, what happens when we can’t do it anymore?
The Distance looks at what our ambitions cost us, and how we redefine ourselves in the wake of catastrophe. The question should never be ‘Do you have what it takes?’, but ‘What’s left once it’s taken?’.
