We’re offering London schools a free, 60-minute taster drama workshop for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils throughout July as part of Centre 59, a creative partnership from Roundhouse and 59% Productions, spearheaded by Roundhouse Associate Artistic Director Daniel Kaluuya.
The workshop will be focused on the key principles of Centre 59’s methodology; exploration and play, using text and improvisation techniques to create stories.
By taking part in our workshop, pupils will:
- Gain an introduction to drama and practice, including core skills such as improvisation and storytelling.
- Have fun whilst working with script and playing drama games!
- Grow confidence within a new skill set.
What is Centre 59?
Centre 59 is a home for young people to grow in the artform of storytelling in theatre and the performing arts. The mission of Centre 59 is to build young artists who, through a programme of writing, acting, directing and producing, learn how to share their own stories with their own voices.
