Loneliness is more common than people think – so much so that the World Health Organization has declared it an epidemic. While we can’t solve it for everyone, we can create a space where young people feel connected, supported, and part of something real.

What’s in Common? is all about bringing young creatives together in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Whether you’re up for a chat, a game, or just some good food (usually pizza!), this is a space to meet new people, have fun, and feel part of a community. There’ll be music, games, and youth workers around to help keep things flowing – just come by and join in.

What you get

  • Build friendships & community – Meet other young creatives in a chilled, welcoming space, with youth workers around if you need support.
  • Enjoy free food – Good vibes, good chats, and free food.
  • Relax & have fun – Play games, listen to music, and make new connections.

Do I need any experience to take part?

No experience needed—just come as you are.

How to join

No need to book—just drop in and sign in at the Roundhouse Studios front desk. Please bring a photo ID.

I’M NOT SURE I CAN AFFORD TO TAKE PART…

If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.

I HAVE ADDITIONAL NEEDS. WHAT SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE?

We are committed to supporting D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse young people, those with medical conditions, access requirements or any lived experience that may require adaptation, support or sensitivity. If there is anything you would like to let us (our youth workers, tutors or staff) know that will support your enjoyment and access, you can do so by emailing us at advicebase@roundhouse.org.uk, and we will contact you to discuss further how to best support your engagement.
