The Philharmonia return to Roundhouse, joined by internationally celebrated cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason.
Kanneh-Mason was the winner of the BBC Young Musician competition in 2016, and rose to international fame after performing at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle two years later. Recognised as one of the most talented cellists of his generation, he has been a member of a number of major orchestras worldwide including Orchestre de chambre de Paris, Hallé Orchestra and The Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
For this very special evening he comes together with his close friends – conductor Tom Fetherstonhaugh, and pianist and composer Harry Baker – for an eclectic programme spanning styles and centuries. From Henry Purcell to Laura Mvula, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor to classics by The Beatles, it’s the perfect evening for orchestral lovers and popular music fans alike.
