This year, Roundhouse and SocialFIXT are proud to announce the launch of the inaugural FIXT FEST.
Taking place at the iconic Roundhouse, (in their newest building Roundhouse Works), FIXT FEST is a one-day career festival designed to equip young creatives with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to build sustainable careers in the arts, media, music, and beyond.
Together, SocialFIXT and the Roundhouse are reimagining what talent pipelines can look like, centring community, culture, and real opportunity at every stage.
If you’re a creative industry freelancer or entrepreneur (or trying to be!), this is THE event for you. Get practical insights to take your next career step, be in the room with industry experts, and maybe meet your next client or collaborator.
Book your place now using the button on this page. Limited tickets available so grab yours before they’re gone!
Mercedes Benson is a multi-hyphenate creative, DJ, and founder of SocialFixt – a platform on a mission to address the diversity problem in the creative industry. What started as a job board has grown into a movement, connecting thousands of Black and Brown creatives to jobs, workshops and opportunities they were never meant to miss.
SocialFIXT is a job search platform, whose mission is to see more creative black talent not just on billboards, but in BOARDROOMS TOO. We help and educate companies on hiring, retaining and empowering black talent within their company pipelines. Let’s fix it, the SocialFIXT way.
FIXT FEST is part of Roundhouse’s Self Made programme, providing professional development support for creative freelancers and entrepreneurs aged 18-30.
Self Made is powered by Inflexion.
If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.
We are committed to supporting D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse young people, those with medical conditions, access requirements or any lived experience that may require adaptation, support or sensitivity. If there is anything you would like to let us (our youth workers, tutors or staff) know that will support your enjoyment and access, you can do so by emailing us at advicebase@roundhouse.org.uk, and we will contact you to discuss further how to best support your engagement.
