The Roundhouse Resident Artist Programme supports you as you develop your art and grow your professional skills as well as providing paid freelance performance opportunities at the Roundhouse and beyond.
Over a year, you’ll access workshops, masterclasses, mentoring, and networking designed to help you establish yourself in your field. This is a space to experiment, collaborate, and accelerate your career with guidance from experienced industry professionals.
Whether you’ve released your first EP, performed at grassroots venues, or have new material ready to share, this programme is designed to match support for your individual ambitions with real-world experience and industry knowledge.
Roundhouse Resident Artist programme is supported by Chilly’s. Resident Artists is part of the PRS Foundation Talent Development Partner programme, supported by PPL.
We’re looking for emerging artists (18–25) who are committed to growing their practice and stepping into the industry. You might:
Past Resident Artists include: Jack Rooke, Loraine James, Maureen Onwunali, BINA., Katie Greenall, Hohnen Ford, Adem Holness and Marla Kether.
Intermediate to advanced emerging artists.
This programme is not for complete beginners — applicants should already have some creative output and/or performance experience.

You’ll answer four short questions about your practice and ambitions as part of the application.
Eligibility: You must be aged 18-25 or between 19 June 2026 – 30 May 2027 to apply and be eligible for paid work in the UK.
Monthly commitment: Last Wednesday evening of each month for workshops, masterclasses, or social events
If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.
