Transmission Roundhouse is a socially engaged podcast platform powered by the Roundhouse. We champion bold, original audio and amplify the voices of underrepresented young creatives. Our work is niche, innovative, and made to cut through the noise — creating space for stories that don’t always get heard elsewhere.

We’re now offering emerging podcasters aged 18–25 the opportunity to join the Transmission Roundhouse cohort of young producers and presenters. As a member, you’ll develop your podcast in a professional, supportive environment, with access to industry-standard studios, one-to-one and group mentorship from experienced audio professionals, and guidance on platforming and marketing your work.

Previous Transmission Roundhouse participants have gone on to achieve major recognition, including British Podcast Awards wins and nominations, and selection at Tribeca, proving that with dedication and support, bold ideas can reach real audiences.

What you’ll get

• Phase 1 – Podcast Production (11 weeks): Structured weekly workshops to develop your idea, build production skills, and create your pilot episode plus trailer
• Phase 2 – Podcast Marketing (4 weeks): Learn launch strategy, audience growth, branding, promotion, and how to platform your podcast effectively
• Ongoing Mentorship: Monthly one-to-one sessions until February 2027 to keep you accountable, overcome challenges, and complete your series
• Access to Professional Studios & Equipment: Record, edit, and produce high-quality audio with industry-standard tools
• Community & Industry Insight: Connect with peers and experienced tutors, plus guest speakers sharing real-world audio careers

Who we’re looking for

We want motivated young creatives aged 18–25 who:

• Have a strong podcast idea and the drive to see it through
• Are ready to commit to weekly sessions and deadlines
• Want to go beyond a single pilot and complete a full podcast series by Feb 2027
• Share Transmission Roundhouse’s mission: socially engaged, niche, innovative audio that amplifies underrepresented voices and speaks to listeners aged 16–34

Programme Structure

Phase 1 – Podcast Production (11 weeks, June–August 2026)

• Weekly 2-hour sessions (Tuesdays, 18:30–20:30)
• Hands-on workshops covering idea development, recording, editing, and audience engagement
• Outcome: Pilot episode + trailer

Phase 2 – Podcast Marketing (4 weeks, September 2026)

• Weekly workshops focusing on marketing, launch strategy, audience growth, and platforming
• Build your podcast for public release and learn skills to sustain it beyond the Academy

Ongoing Mentorship

• Monthly one-to-one sessions with tutors until February 2027 to maintain momentum and ensure completion of your series

Access & Location

• Workshops: Roundhouse Studios & Roundhouse Works, Camden
• Remote options: Available for those not in London
• Financial support: Available for transport, project costs, or childcare — contact us when applying
