Ages 13-25
If you love making music but haven’t had many chances to perform, it can be hard to share your songs, get feedback, or meet other young musicians. You might feel nervous about stepping on stage or unsure where to start.
Open Decks & Open Mic Nights are here to change that. These two events are all about giving emerging artists the chance to perform in a relaxed, supportive setting. You are also more than welcome to join the audience!
A night dedicated to DJs. Jump on the decks, share your mixes, and connect with other young selectors. Perfect for anyone looking to build confidence behind the decks and try out new sounds in front of a friendly crowd.
A space for singers, rappers, bands, instrumentalists, and producers to perform, experiment, and collaborate. Whether you’re playing your first set or testing new material, it’s your chance to gain stage experience and meet other musicians.
Not at all! Beginners, first-timers, and experienced performers are all welcome. You can bring your own music, backing tracks, instruments, or just your voice — we’ll handle the sound setup and keep the vibe supportive.
Just turn up on the night! Sign-up sheets for performance slots open when doors open. It’s first-come, first-served. You can also sign up as an audience and supporter. Just come to the Roundhouse Creative Studios front desk to sign in, we’re open for you to join anytime between 6-8.30pm.
If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.
We are committed to supporting D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse young people, those with medical conditions, access requirements or any lived experience that may require adaptation, support or sensitivity. If there is anything you would like to let us (our youth workers, tutors or staff) know that will support your enjoyment and access, you can do so by emailing us at advicebase@roundhouse.org.uk, and we will contact you to discuss further how to best support your engagement.
