The band sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Danish alt-rock trio Mew announce additional “Farewell” show in Asia and Europe in 2025 – the year marking the band’s 30th anniversary.
Since their formation in 1995, Danish band Mew (Jonas Bjerre (lead vocals and guitar), Johan Wohlert (bass) and Silas Jørgensen (drums) has captivated audiences worldwide with their unparalleled fusion of ethereal soundscapes, soaring vocals, and cinematic arrangements. From their formation in the outskirts of Copenhagen to becoming one of the most celebrated acts in indie and progressive rock, Mew has always been a band driven by innovation, introspection, and a deep connection with their fans.
Mew’s music transcends traditional genre boundaries, blending intricate compositions with heartfelt lyrics. Their ability to craft a dreamlike yet powerful sonic universe has resulted in a rich and diverse discography spanning eight studio albums, including iconic works like Frengers (2003), And the Glass Handed Kites (2005), and No More Stories… (2009). Each release cementing their status as trailblazers in the global music scene.
Renowned for their otherworldly live performances, Mew has consistently created immersive experiences that bring their music to life. With visual artistry complementing their sound, the band’s concerts have always felt as an intimate journey shared between the band and their devoted fans, their ‘Frengers’.
As they approach three decades of groundbreaking music, Mew celebrates a remarkable career defined not only by their artistic achievements but also by the unshakable bond they’ve formed with Frengers across the globe. Their heartfelt connection to listeners has always been at the core of their journey, shaping the band’s path and inspiring their evolution.
2025 marks a celebration of the band’s 30th anniversary – marking the farewell performances of front man Jonas Bjerre. Mew invite their fans to join them for one more chapter —a heartfelt celebration of everything they’ve created together. This tour is a thank-you to their community who have supported them, resonated with their music, and helped turn their dreams into reality
