A living legend of Brazilian music, Gilberto Gil returns to the stage with a concert that is both a celebration of legacy and a deeply personal musical encounter.
One of the architects of Tropicalismo and a defining voice of Brazilian culture for over six decades, Gilberto Gil has shaped generations through songs that blend Bahia’s traditions with global sounds — samba, reggae, pop, rock, and Afro-Brazilian rhythms — creating a musical language that is unmistakably his own.
For this special performance, Gilberto Gil will revisit his long and rich musical career, performing some of his most beloved songs, including “Aquele Abraço”, “Toda Menina Baiana”, “Expresso 2222”, “Andar com Fé”, “Drão”, “Palco”, and “Não Chore Mais”.
He is joined on stage by members of his own family, transforming the concert into an intimate dialogue between generations. Sharing the stage with him are his children and grandchildren: Bem Gil (vocals, guitar, bass), José Gil (vocals, drums), João Gil (vocals, guitar, bass), and Flor Gil (vocals, keyboards). Together, they bring new life and warmth to a repertoire that has become part of Brazil’s cultural history.
With over 60 albums released, multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, and a career that spans music, culture and public life, Gilberto Gil remains a singular figure in world music — as relevant, generous, and inspiring as ever.
