Ages 11-14
Roundhouse Drama Club is a termly programme for 11-14 year olds to explore the world of drama and theatre. Led by experienced theatre practitioners, our workshops are filled with drama games, role playing, improvisation, storytelling and more! There’s no need to worry about auditions or selection processes – just come with an open mind and a willingness to learn. Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of theatre and drama!
This is a term-long course, designed to have a consistent group attending each session, where they can build skills together and work towards creating a sharing of work at the end of the course (there’s no pressure for everyone to perform in the showcase, we welcome all contributions from the group towards creating a short piece of theatre). Please get in touch if you have any questions about the course.
Hello, I’m Nadia Nadif , and I’ll be working with you during your time in the Roundhouse. I’m so excited to get started and can’t wait to see what we’ll create together.
I’ve been involved in theatre and film for 20 years and have worked on a variety of projects including performing at the National Theatre and for the London 50 Hour Improvathon, directing for National Youth Theatre, writing short films and teaching at GSA Conservatoire, Mountview and Central St Martins. I trained in acting, singing, improvising and as a lindy hop dancer, and I love helping people express themselves and have fun and grow in confidence through drama.
I’m really looking forward to:
In these sessions, you can expect:
Hey, my name is Louie, look forward to working with you this term, exploring some theatre skills, playing lots of games and Roundhouse will be a fun place for us all to be on a Saturday afternoon.
I’m an Actor & theatre maker from North London and I’m the associate director of Centre 59 housed at Roundhouse. I’m about to work on a new show called ‘Being Kim K’ and most recently was in ‘Brief History of Us’ for Small Truth at National Theatre & British Feature Film ‘Love Without Walls’.
My practice as a theatre maker consists of devising new work using improvisation, physical theatre and collaborating with all forms of theatre and most importantly you, the great people we have in the room. We will play games, have fun, devise some theatre and have something to say.

Hello, I’m Katy, and I’ll be working with you during your time in the Roundhouse. On the weekends you’ll find me at an Arsenal women’s match, in a commercial dance class, or hunting through vintage markets and charity shops for a bargain. I’m so excited to get started and can’t wait to see what we’ll create together.
I’m an actor, singer and theatre practitioner from North London. I trained as an actor at Mountview Academy and my acting experience is mostly stage – mainly performing in farce comedies such as ‘The Play That Goes Wrong’ with the award-winning Mischief Theatre. I’ve also been part of creating original immersive work with companies including Swamp Motel and ZU-UK.
I’ve also spent the last 6 years working as a youth theatre director in community spaces, and running workshops in schools. My practice as a theatre-maker is highly inclusive, due to my work as Access Support and Access Co-ordinator in rehearsals and on film-sets. Everyone is welcome in the rooms I’m running! I’ve directed a number of drama clubs over the last 10 years so I now know approximately 85 brilliant drama games (no exaggeration). I have a very participant-led approach, meaning that I want the ideas to come from you – the young people – and I love springboarding off those ideas and collaborating to make something great that everyone can feel proud of.
