Uzzy and Jazz, two typical boys in year 9 who spend their time either playing two touch at Cages or arguing about a misplaced pound coin, discover what it means to do the right thing at the wrong time. Rumours go flying as their friendship gets tested in this high stakes, tongue-in-cheek look into the dangers and pitfalls of the ends.
Zakariye is a poet, performer and filmmaker from Birmingham. Through his narrative poetic style, his work often explores masculinity, faith and identity. His short poetry film ‘Cages’ was broadcast on BBC 4 and BBC iPlayer in 2022 and 2023 saw him win the audience vote at the Roundhouse Poetry Slam final.
Dwayne Kayin (Jazz) graduated from Arden School of Theatre in 2022. His works include ‘Never Grow Old’ at The Legacy Centre of Excellence (Theatre, February & October 2024), ‘Teaching Remembrance Day’ at National Memorial Arboretum (Theatre in Education, July 2024) and ‘A Sense of Belonging’ (Theatre in Education, October 2024).
Jerome Scott is a multi-disciplinary artist manoeuvring through acting, movement and writing. He graduated from NYT’s REP company 2023. His works include ‘Everybody wants to be Ronaldo’ and ‘The lion the witch and the wardrobe’ at the Birmingham REP Theatre. ‘Gone Too Far!’ at Theatre Royal Stratford East.
