Esme Allman is a poet, writer, theatre-maker and facilitator based in South East London. She works in a multi-disciplinary way exploring blackness, desire, imagination, and the intersection of these themes.

She is the Participation Associate at Clean Break theatre and was previously a Young Associate at the Young Vic theatre. She is alumna of Roundhouse Poetry Collective and a current Barbican Young Poet. Esme has been commissioned by the Barbican Centre, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 6 in collaboration with the ICA, English Heritage and Fringe of Colour.

Her published work can be found in POSTSCRIPT, Barbican Young Poets Anthology 19/20 and The Skinny. As a Roundhouse Resident Artist, Esme is working towards her second poetry and theatre piece that will explore black womanhood, femininity, and beauty.
