Experimental Choir

The Roundhouse Experimental Choir aim to create something out of nothing; experiment and improvise. They collaborate with a diverse range of artists and produce vocal work that challenges both performers and audience. Combining unusual techniques with a willingness to blur the boundaries of vocal music, the Choir are quickly establishing themselves as a new and vibrant force. Formed in 2009, they’ve performed in Darren Johnston’s multi-media epic, Underdrome, and alongside Biosphere, Cosmicorus, the London Contemporary Orchestra, The Magnets, Holger Czcay of Can and, most recently, Ana Silvera. The Choir is directed by DJ Walde, musical director of Into the Hoods and Blaze. The Roundhouse Experimental Choir are an associate choir of the Roundhouse.
