BlackBox

BlackBox is a music series broadcast live from the Roundhouse exclusively to online audiences around the world. 

BlackBox challenges the idea that live experiences can only exist for audiences physically in the same space as the performance. There is no audience at the Roundhouse.  

The idea is to match video directors with the most exciting live acts, to create a live performance that's visually and aurally unique.

What you'll see is edited, recorded, performed and broadcast live.

On-demand recordings will be available following the initial performance however to truly experience the event it must be seen live.

BlackBox kicked off with the fresh electro-pop and unique theatrics of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs back in January, followed with the fast-rising gothic four-piece O.Children in February, Django Django who blew up the Roundhouse with a frankly incredible session in June,  Is Tropical with the first broadcast to use thermal imaging exclusively, post apocalyptic office hell with Fiction and most recently British Sea Power featuring a giant straw bear and Cossacks while making use of the latest in live 3D image mapping using hacked X-Box Kinect sensors.
