As the Roundhouse marks its 20th anniversary, it is also celebrating the people and organisations whose long-term support has made that impact possible.
Among them is Inflexion, a leading European mid-market private equity firm whose team have personally supported our organisation for close to a decade and latterly and more formally through its Foundation.
The Inflexion Foundation was established in 2018 as the charitable arm of Inflexion, with a focus on improving opportunities for disadvantaged young people and supporting environmental conservation. Since its launch, the Foundation has committed more than £20 million to charitable causes and supports more than 80 charities and non-profit organisations through grants, strategic partnerships and matched fundraising. Its youth programmes span education, employability, sport and the arts, with an emphasis on long-term partnerships that allow organisations to plan beyond annual funding cycles.
The relationship between the Roundhouse and the Inflexion Foundation has developed over a number of years and encompasses philanthropy, governance and employee engagement. Simon Turner, co-founder and Managing Partner of Inflexion, has served as Chair of the Roundhouse Board of Trustees since 2017. In 2025 Flor Kassai, Inflexion Managing Partner, became its newest Board member. Andrew Priest, Inflexion Partner, is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Circle, supporting the development of Roundhouse’s creative talent development programmes.
A significant milestone in the partnership came in 2021, when the Inflexion Foundation committed £1.5 million towards the development of Roundhouse Works. The new building, which opened in 2023, expanded the Roundhouse’s capacity to support young people pursuing careers in the creative industries. It provides dedicated workspace, business support and professional development programmes for freelancers, entrepreneurs and early-career creatives aged 18–30. The building also includes the Inflexion Workspace, a co-working space designed to help young people develop sustainable creative careers.
Support extends beyond financial contributions. Each year, Inflexion employees, alongside clients, advisers and friends of the firm, take part in fundraising initiatives for the Roundhouse. The annual Challenge Trek has become a longstanding fixture, raising more than £650,000 in 2026 alone through participant fundraising and matched donations from the Foundation. Over seven years, the annual event has raised vital awareness of Roundhouse’s work and generated around £2 million for the organisation.
The partnership illustrates how long-term corporate philanthropy can combine financial support with governance, volunteering and fundraising.
Jenny Mollica, CEO of Roundhouse, said: “As the Roundhouse enters its third decade, partnerships with organisations such as the Inflexion Foundation are vital to helping us create lasting opportunities for young people, building creative skills for life. Their continued support enables us to invest in programmes that nurture talent, build confidence and open pathways into creative careers and beyond.”
Simon Turner, Chair of Roundhouse and Managing Partner at Inflexion, says, “It’s a real privilege to support the Roundhouse and the vital work they do with young people. Seeing the impact of their programmes – especially for those facing the greatest challenges – is incredibly rewarding.”
