group of young people writing poetry

This is a monthly drop-in session for writers, with a focus on poetry and spoken word. Come along to connect with fellow writers, take part in creative exercises to get your writing flowing, with the option to share your work in a supportive space. These will be creative and inclusive workshop-style sessions for young writers at all stages of their careers.

This is a small group with limited spaces, and is filled on a first come first serve basis. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to get a space and to allow time to sign up and pay.

What do I get by taking part?

  • Creative exercises to help inspire you to write new work
  • Expand your awareness of exciting contemporary poets
  • Learn from expert writers
  • Develop your skills in giving and receiving feedback on your writing

How to join

I’M NOT SURE I CAN AFFORD TO TAKE PART…

If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.

I HAVE ADDITIONAL NEEDS. WHAT SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE?
