On Air Radio Bootcamp is an immersive, one-day creative lab where you’ll master professional recording equipment and learn to captivate audiences through the power of sound.
This project is led by Marie Horner, an award-winning executive producer (BBC, Radio 4), and Erica McKoy, a professional presenter and digital consultant (BBC, Sky News, Worldwide FM). Together, they bring decades of industry experience to help you master the mic.
Young people aged 11–14 with a passion for storytelling. No prior radio or audio experience is needed – just a curiosity to create and be heard.

If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.
