Ages 18-25
Apply to join the Roundhouse Music Collective – a hub for passionate, skilled musicians eager to create innovative music, collaborate, record and perform live.
The Roundhouse Music Collective is a community of talented artists and musicians that come together for a year-long programme of music-making workshops, industry masterclasses, performances and recording sessions. The programme is designed to nurture your creativity and support you to produce exceptional, original music. You will be supported by a team of professional artists with a wealth of experience in the music industry.
“Everyone I have met has been so wonderful. I feel I have found a group of really talented peers who I know I will make music with for a long time.” Music Collective Member 24/25
“One of the best takeaways was the connections I made. I feel like I’ve found people who I can start music projects with and I was missing access to that before I started the programme.” Music Collective Member 24/25
“The most important thing that I have gained from the programme is confidence in myself as a guitarist and musician. I am now able to bring different flavours to my own music that I definitely wouldn’t have explored before.” Music Collective Member 24/25
This is an advanced programme for 18–25 year olds with experience in music-making — whether through songwriting, producing, or using an instrument or voice. Participants should have some proficiency in their chosen area and a drive to develop their creative practice. However, there are no fixed entry requirements. You could be completely self-taught, or you might be classically trained, both are equally valid. What matters most is your openness to collaborate and create.

Project commitment
The Roundhouse Music Collective will start on Tuesday 14 October, with weekly Tuesday sessions across the year. Applicants must be available to attend weekly sessions at the Roundhouse on Tuesday evenings, 6-8.30pm (excluding holidays) and we require you attend at least 80% of the sessions each term so as not to impact the group.
The Roundhouse champions diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe in a just society and in the benefit for all gained from the richness of diverse experiences and expressions within cultural output.
Through its youth programmes, the Roundhouse actively seeks to increase diversity and address disadvantage and inequality. Under the provisions made for Positive Action in the Equality Act 2010 the Roundhouse may, in the event of identifying two or more candidates of equal merit, give preference to a candidate or candidates that are from a group that is disproportionately underrepresented or otherwise disadvantaged.
If you need help to pay for things like project fees, transport or childcare, we can help. Find out how you can get support. If you are using a bursary to pay for the project, please ensure you arrange this with the Advice Base with plenty of time before the start of the project.
We are committed to supporting D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse young people, those with medical conditions, access requirements or any lived experience that may require adaptation, support or sensitivity. If there is anything you would like to let us (our youth workers, tutors or staff) know that will support your enjoyment and access, you can do so by emailing us at advicebase@roundhouse.org.uk, and we will contact you to discuss further how to best support your engagement.
