Roundhouse Comedy Festival & Berk's Nest present
with Ify Nwadiwe & Brian David Gilbert
Um, Actually is a trivia game show hosted by Ify Nwadiwe and fact-checked by Brian David Gilbert, wherein special guest contestants are read false statements about their favorite pieces of nerdy pop culture, and they have to figure out what’s wrong (but they only get the point if they precede their correction with the phrase “um, actually…”).
In this game show of fandom minutiae one-upmanship, nerds do what nerds do best: flaunt encyclopedic nerd knowledge at Millennium Falcon nerd-speed.
For the first ever Um, Actually live show outside of the US, Ify & Brian will be joined by special guests Aurie Styla, Ellie Gibson, and Jordan Gray.
Ify Nwadiwe is a stand-up, actor (Workaholics, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Adam Ruins Everything), does improv (The Big Team at UCB), plays tabletop RPGs on the internet (Dimension 20, Critical Role), writes for TV (Twisted Metal, Grand Crew, Tigtone), and writes for video games (Apex Legends and Borderlands 4).
Brian David Gilbert is a comedian, writer, YouTuber, and the fact checker for Um, Actually. You can generally find him popping up on things around the internet that make people say “Wait, what is Brian doing here?”
Aurie Styla is an acclaimed stand-up and huge video game fan. His latest tour ‘The Aurator’ hit over 100 shows across the UK, Europe, Canada, New Zealand & the Middle East. He has appeared on House of Games, Comedy Central Live, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, The Stand-Up Sketch Show, and multiple of his own series on Radio 4. In 2025, he was named One of Just For Laugh’s New Faces Of Comedy at the renowned JFL Festival, Montreal, and in 2026, debuted at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, in Los Angeles.
Ellie Gibson is a comedian, journalist, and triple Guinness World Record holder. She has been writing about video games for over 25 years and playing them for even longer. She worked at Eurogamer for nearly a decade and appeared as the games expert on Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit. These days she tours the country as one-half of the popular double act Scummy Mummies. She once played PowerWash Simulator for over 24 hours straight, and will never do that again.
Jordan Gray is an award-winning British comedian, actress, and writer. She is the creator, writer, executive producer, and co-star of the hit ITV sitcom Transaction, where she stars alongside Nick Frost. She has also appeared on popular shows such as QI, The Last Leg, and The Russell Howard Hour. Her breakthrough stand-up show Is It A Bird? sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe and earned nominations for major comedy awards in both the UK and Australia. Gray made history with her acclaimed appearance on Channel 4’s Friday Night Live and became the first transgender person to perform a solo stand-up show at the London Palladium.
