Connections shape everything we do. Driving Change a one-day event on Thursday 23 April, 10.30am-5pm for leaders, professionals, freelancers, artists and organisations shaping the future of inclusive work and culture.

About Driving Change

Driving Change will move beyond theory and getting into the real work of inclusion, belonging, intergenerational collaboration, and navigating the political landscape of the arts.

The Morning: Opening Panel

The day kicks off with a lively, unfiltered panel, hosted by Cherise Hamilton-Stephenson, and featuring a powerhouse mix of grassroots practitioners, national consultants, and voices from across the sector.

We’re asking the big questions: What does connection and inclusion actually look like in 2026?

From navigating political tensions to where are institutions succeeding and what must we do better and how can we bridge intergenerational gaps. This isn’t just a talk, it’s a roadmap for a more inclusive society.

The Afternoon: Masterclasses

Our expert-led workshops offer practical, solution-focused tools you can use the very next day. Choose between:

  • Workshop 1: The Intergenerational Exchange Facilitated by Stacey Carr (Donmar Warehouse) The arts and cultural sector thrives on fresh perspectives, but bridging the gap between decades of experience and new-age innovation isn’t always seamless. How do we turn “generational differences” into “collaborative superpowers“?

OR

  • Workshop 2: Navigating Difficult Conversations Facilitated by Robert Kirby (People People) High-stakes work leads to high-stakes emotions. Master how to approach difficult conversations with inclusivity, whilst leading with empathy and grace, even when things get heavy.

Followed by a final standalone session, open to all attendees:

  • Workshop 3: Charities in a Political World Facilitated by Caroline McCormick (Achates Philanthropy) Explore the complex intersection of funding, values, and legal responsibilities. A supportive space to navigate how your organisation stays true to its mission in a shifting social landscape.

Fuel up & Network

We’ve taken care of the details so you can focus on the conversation:

  • Lunch Provided: Refuel and catch up with peers.
  • After Event Networking: Enjoy complimentary drink at the Roundhouse Bar RBC.
