Berk's Nest in association with Sophie Chapman Talent and Roundhouse Comedy Festival presents
co-starring John Roberts
The brand new comedy play from Kristen Schaal (Bob’s Burgers, BoJack Horseman, Flight of the Conchords) comes to London for one night only, co-starring John Roberts (Bob’s Burgers), with music by Big Black Delta and directed by Frank Smith.
The Legend Of Crystal Shell is about an extraordinary soul who has been hiding from the world because of a fantastic secret. She now prepares to execute her long-held dream: a solo dance interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. Absurd, vulnerable, and deeply strange in the best way, this is a one of a kind theatrical experience.
Kristen Schaal is an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and Melbourne Best Show winner. Kristen Schaal is the voice of Louise on Bob’s Burgers. She earned a Lucille Lortel Award for her performance in The Coward at Lincoln Center, and on screen credits include What We Do in the Shadows, The Last Man on Earth, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Gravity Falls, and 30 Rock, among other shows. Schaal’s film credits include Bill and Ted Face the Music, as well as My Spy and its sequel. Her parents’ favorite is A Walk in the Woods with Robert Redford and Nick Nolte. She voices the role of “Trixie” in the Toy Story franchise, and has made numerous appearances as the “Senior Women’s Correspondent” on The Daily Show. Her hour-long comedy special Live at the Fillmore is available on Comedy Central.
John is the voice of Linda Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, where he has an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. His on screen credits include Fire Island and Stress Positions. Blondie tapped him to drop some lyrical fire on “Love Level” from their 2017 album Pollinator, and his 2019 single “Looking” produced by Big Black Delta landed at #19 on the UK club charts. In 2022, Roberts released an album of club bangers produced by Junior Sanchez titled Lights Out, featuring Beth Ditto and Debbie Harry, with remixes by Harry Romero and Felix da Housecat. He released Outside is a Clown in 2025, produced by Kevin Ruldolf, Big Black Delta and Junior Sanchez.
