The day will start with a welcome and keynote speech by Joelle Taylor, recipient of the T.S. Eliot Prize.
We’re also excited to announce more information about the workshops taking place on the day below.
From Knowledge to Innovation: Empowering Inclusive Leaders for the Future.
Delivered by Emilie Fellingham, Equity, Diversity, Justice and Inclusion (EDJI) Programme Manager Royal Shakespeare Company and Marc Elliott, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead at Roundhouse
The future of the arts industry relies on the integration of three essential pillars: traditional craft skills, human skills like collaboration and creativity, and the ability to embrace and apply new technologies. This workshop will explore why these skills are vital, the need to overhaul the way we are training for a new era of curiosity-driven learning, and how we can ensure excellent succession planning as we develop the future leaders of the industry.

Creating a diverse and inclusive Board: practices for the future
Delivered by Shonagh Reid from Spotlight Inclusion
This workshop will interest you if you are a board member or work closely with your board in your organisation. In it, we will focus on how boards work to become more diverse and how we might consider common board practices through the lens of inclusion. What are the benefits of a diverse board? Why does it feel so difficult to create a diverse board? How do we retain board members and create environments in which they can thrive? How might we reimagine how boards work to create sustainable organisations for the future?
For our afternoon workshops, you can choose between:
