Membership Terms and Conditions

Roundhouse Membership (including Intro, Champion, Icon, Legend, Producing Circle and Chairman’s Circle levels) supports the charitable work of the Roundhouse Trust (registered charity number 1071487).

Membership contributions help the Roundhouse provide creative opportunities for young people aged 11–25, programme artistic events, and maintain our Grade II* listed building.

In recognition of this support, members receive benefits according to their level of membership.

Membership is an individual membership and cannot be shared between multiple people or used by companies or organisations. Businesses wishing to support the Roundhouse should enquire about Corporate Membership.

1. Membership Duration

  • Annual Membership is valid for 12 months from the start date (with a margin of up to two weeks depending on the join date), unless otherwise specified at the point of purchase.

  • Members may upgrade their Membership during their membership period by paying the full difference between the original and upgraded membership fee, regardless of how much time remains on the current membership. Alternatively, members may purchase a new membership which begins immediately.

2. Rolling Monthly Membership

In addition to annual memberships, Roundhouse offers a rolling monthly membership subscription.

  • Monthly memberships renew automatically each month unless cancelled.
  • The monthly fee and benefits will be displayed prior to sign-up.
  • Members will receive a reminder notice at least every six months confirming the ongoing subscription.
  • Cancellation can be completed online in a single step. Members who joined online may cancel via Enthuse.
  • A 14-day cooling-off period applies at the start of the membership and at the beginning of each renewal period.

3. Membership Activation

Activation depends on the payment method selected:

Direct Debit payments
If you have chosen to pay by Direct Debit, activation may take up to 5 working days. Members should take this into account when planning to access presales during this period.

One-off payment in full
Membership will activate immediately upon purchase.

4. Personal Use and Ticket Resale

Membership is for personal, non-commercial use only.

Members may not use membership benefits, including presale ticket access, for commercial purposes or financial gain.

Examples of misuse include (but are not limited to):

  • Selling tickets above face value
  • Purchasing tickets during presales on behalf of others for resale
  • Lending membership benefits to non-members
  • Selling or transferring prizes won through Roundhouse competitions

Roundhouse reserves the right to cancel a membership without refund where misuse is identified.

6. Membership Communications

To deliver membership benefits, Roundhouse will use members’ personal details to contact them via email.

Members will receive information about:

  • upcoming events
  • priority booking opportunities
  • competitions
  • member-exclusive benefits

Members may unsubscribe from email communications at any time. However, doing so may prevent Roundhouse from delivering certain membership benefits. No refund will be available in these circumstances.

7. Membership Benefits

Members are entitled to the benefits listed on the relevant membership pages of the Roundhouse website.

Printed materials should not be considered an ongoing record of current benefits.

The Roundhouse reserves the right to change membership benefits during a membership period.

8. Priority Booking

Priority booking is not guaranteed for all shows at Roundhouse.

Many music events staged at Roundhouse are commercial hires arranged with external promoters. In these cases, the promoter decides whether a Members’ Priority Booking will be offered.

Where priority booking is available:

  • tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis
  • ticket quantities may be limited
  • priority windows will be a minimum of one hour
  • access may be limited to certain membership levels

Roundhouse aims to notify members by email in advance of ticket announcements. However, in some cases promoters may announce and release tickets simultaneously.

Members are responsible for monitoring their emails and the Roundhouse website for ticket announcements.

9. Fast-track Entry to the Box Office

Champion, Icon, Legend, Producing Circle and Chairman’s Circle Members may be eligible for fast-track access to the Box Office.

Fast-track entry allows members to enter the building once doors open in order to access the Box Office. It does not permit early access to performance spaces.

Members will receive instructions via email 1–2 days prior to the event where this benefit applies.

Members and their guests must hold valid tickets for the event and will still be required to pass through venue security.

Roundhouse may withdraw this benefit for specific shows where necessary.

10. Complimentary Tickets and Sold-Out Events

Some Membership levels may include access to complimentary tickets to selected Roundhouse-produced events.

These may include:

  • press nights
  • preview performances
  • flagship events such as the Poetry Slam Final

Legend, Producing Circle and Chairman’s Circle members may also request tickets for sold-out events.

These tickets are extremely limited and are allocated at the discretion of the Roundhouse Membership team.

11. Waiting Lists for Sold-Out Events

Intro Members and above may join waiting lists for sold-out events using the “Join Waiting List” button on the event page.

If tickets become available:

  • members will be notified
  • a minimum one-hour priority booking window will be provided

Remaining tickets may then go on general sale.

12. Event Invitations

Members may be invited to exclusive events depending on their Membership level.

Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Members are encouraged to RSVP promptly.

Late arrival may result in refusal of entry if it would cause disruption to the event.

Additional guests may be permitted at the discretion of Roundhouse.

13. Accreditation

Certain membership levels include supporter accreditation.

Where applicable:

  • accreditation may appear on the Roundhouse website, publications, or venue signage
  • supporters will remain anonymous until they confirm they are happy to be credited

Accreditation may be removed if a Member’s actions bring the Roundhouse or its reputation into disrepute.

Members may request removal of their accreditation at any time (excluding pre-existing printed materials).

14. Membership Fees

Members are responsible for ensuring membership fees are paid.

Membership fees and donations are non-refundable after 14 days, unless required by law.

Refunds will not be provided if:

  • Member benefits have been used
  • a show does not offer priority booking
  • supporter spaces are unavailable

Membership fees and benefits may be updated periodically in response to inflation or operational changes.

Direct Debit payments will normally be collected within six weeks of joining or renewing membership.

Members will be notified prior to renewal.

If payment cannot be collected, the Roundhouse will attempt to contact the member to arrange payment.

15. Cooling-Off Period

In line with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (2024), a 14-day cooling-off period applies to rolling memberships paid via Direct Debit.

This applies:

  • when the membership first begins
  • at the start of each renewal period

Members cancelling during the cooling-off period may receive a refund. However, if a member has used presale access during this period to purchase tickets, those tickets must also be returned and refunded.

16. Members’ Bar

The Stage-side Members’ Bar is available to:

  • Champion
  • Icon
  • Legend
  • Producing Circle
  • Chairman’s Circle
  • Corporate Members

Guest allowances depend on Membership level as outlined on the Roundhouse website.

Access may be restricted if the bar reaches capacity.

The Roundhouse may limit entry to higher membership levels where necessary.

Under 16s are not permitted in the Members’ Bar after 9:00pm.

The Roundhouse may close the Members’ Bar for specific events at its discretion.

The bar cannot be used as an alternative viewing platform for wheelchair users due to evacuation and safety restrictions.

Artists may occasionally request that stage-view drapes are closed. If this occurs, the bar will remain open but stage views may be obstructed.

17. Conduct and Behaviour

Members and their guests must behave appropriately while attending Roundhouse events or premises.

Roundhouse may refuse entry or revoke membership without refund where individuals:

  • behave abusively or disruptively
  • damage property
  • bring Roundhouse into disrepute
  • appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs

Members are responsible for the behaviour of their guests.

18. Termination of Membership

Membership may not be transferred between individuals except at the discretion of the Roundhouse.

In the event of a member’s death, Roundhouse may transfer the remaining membership period to a named individual.

Lifetime benefits or accreditation cannot be transferred.

Membership may be terminated if payment has not been received within 42 days of initiation.

Any disputes relating to these Terms will be determined by the Commercial Director, whose decision will be final.

19. Competitions

These terms apply to competitions run by the Roundhouse unless otherwise stated.

Eligibility requirements, entry methods and closing dates will be specified in each competition announcement.

Only one entry per person will normally be accepted unless otherwise stated.

Roundhouse is not responsible for entries not received for any reason.

Winners will be notified via email or social media within 28 days of the closing date.

If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, Roundhouse may select an alternative winner.

Roundhouse may amend or cancel competitions where circumstances outside its control require it.
