Delectably Red is a poetry performance piece, exploring the desires of black women occupying lives in peripheral places and spaces. Whether biblical or contemporary, quotidian or celebrity, Esme Allman’s exciting new poetry attends to the beauty, scandal and desire of her characters and their worlds. Delectably Red is a daring piece of new work that simultaneously demands and holds its audience in asking what desire mean to you?
