LCO Soloists join forces with NU:NORD, a project-based music and performing art network that engages new-music creators from Canada, Norway and the UK.
There will be free open-access workshops throughout the afternoon from Claire M Singer, David Grant, Amber Priestley and the LCO Soloists, culminating in an 8pm ticketed performance.
Isaiah Ceccarelli (Canada): ‘Bow’ for string quartet [10’]
Eric Skytterholm Egan (Norway): ‘Through the Embers’ for 2-8 players (string quartet version) [12’]
Claire M Singer (UK): ’4-8-1’ for string quartet and 8-channel Live electronics [16’]
Amber Priestley (UK): ‘…And go ahead! Dare to be irrational!’ for violinist & field recordings [12’]
Iannis Xenakis: ‘Tetora’ for string quartet [15’]

Age restrictions: Under 16s to be accompanied by an adult, under 14s to be accompanied and in seated areas only
Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point in the performance
Free workshops are open to the public during the day.
