Nayonica Ghosh: BidentityCrisis | Roundhouse Film Fund

By Nayonica Ghosh
In many respects, making this film felt like learning to walk again. Luckily, I had a very supportive and knowledgeable cast and crew and learnt loads from them as well as Onyeka, one of our film fund mentors.

Introducing Nayonica Ghosh who is a stand up comedian and filmmaker who has been featured on the BBC, Time Out and Gal-Dem. She was most recently featured in the comedy tent of The BBC Upload festival and performed around the UK including at Truck Music Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Southwark Playhouse. An alumna of the BFI FIlm Academy, her short films and comedy sketches have screened at prestigious venues such as BFI Southbank, the Barbican and film festivals internationally. Nayonica’s Instagram bio refers to her as a ‘Professional Wind up Merchant’ which accurately reflects her silly persona but this is just one aspect of this brilliant filmmaker. Nayonica’s writing playfully deals with navigating coming of age errors. Keep reading for more details on Nayonica’s fantastic film, Bidentity Crisis as well her blog which takes us through her filmmaker journey.
