Being new to filmmaking, there are so many things I’ve learnt throughout the process and I feel excited to learn more. I hope to bring this knowledge to any future projects.

Introducing Jennie Foot who is a filmmaker based in London. Since studying Fine Art at university, she has gained on-set experience in television and film, whilst writing her own scripts. Jennie is currently interested in exploring themes of care in different contexts, inspired by artists/filmmakers such as Céline Sciamma, Steve McQueen and Chantal Akerman. Synopses

Our Summer follows sisters Charlie and Maddie, who rely on each other to get through the endless days spent in their bedroom during lockdown, entertaining themselves listlessly. What begins as a fun, light-hearted snapshot into the girls’ life soon transcends into an all-too-familiar insight into the anxiety of a dangerous family member returning home. The bedroom in which they play, once full of life becomes cold and empty – as Charlie is forced to leave her sister to face the person on the outside.
