Here at the Roundhouse young creatives are at the heart of everything we do. Our Youth Advisory Board (RYAB) was established in 2001 to make sure that we stay true to this principle.

Made up of members aged 16-25, RYAB exists to make sure that young people’s views inform the way the organisation is run – from advising on communications, fundraising and strategy to acting as ambassadors at events.

In their own words, the current RYAB members explain in more detail what they do:

We are the definitive voice of the 3,000 young people that participate in the Roundhouse Creative Projects every year

We are a group of young artists that supply the Board of Trustees & Roundhouse staff with information and feedback to instigate real change within the Paul Hamlyn Roundhouse Studios

Using our individual skills & interests, we look at new ways to encourage collaboration within the studios and increase awareness of the opportunities available to young people

We aim to have a concrete presence and be approachable to Emerging Artist Members and Creative Project participants, whether it is their first or tenth year of engagement
