POWER UP is pleased to be working with Roundhouse Rising and DAJU to bring together our cohort of Year 1 POWER UP Participants and Partners.
Join us as we reflect on the impact Power Up has had, the importance of networks and ways to address barriers facing Black musicians and professionals forging careers in music.
POWER UP is a ground-breaking initiative that elevates Black music creators and industry professionals, and tackles anti-Black racism and racial disparities in the UK music industry.
Launched in January 2021, POWER UP is managed by PRS Foundation with multiple partners across the music industry including YouTube Music, Beggars, Spotify and the Black Music Coalition. Through a holistic participant programme, POWER UP supports our network of 40 Black music creators and executives each year, with a wider POWER UP Movement working to break down barriers to create a fairer, more equitable music industry.
