Join us as we bring together some of the best up-and-coming talent in spoken word as they compete for a place at the Roundhouse Poetry Slam Final.

Traditionally a series of events taking place across the UK, the heats are the first step to getting through to the Final as participants go head-to-head performing their own spoken word poetry.

Once again, the heats will take place online via Zoom and are an opportunity to catch the action from the very start of the Slam story.

Poetry Slam is one of the major highlights of the Roundhouse calendar, bringing together emerging spoken word artists aged 16-25 to compete for the Colin and Helen David £500 Prize and the coveted title of Slam Champion.

You can access this stream for free as we want everyone to celebrate the work of these talented young people. However, we are asking, those that can, to make a donation. Please give what you can so we can continue our work with young people from poets, to film makers to creative entrepreneurs. We need your help now, more than ever.

Could you be our next Slam champion? Applications are now open for the 15th Roundhouse Poetry Slam! If you’re aged 18-25, find out how you can be part of one of the biggest moments in the Roundhouse calendar here.

The Roundhouse Poetry Slam is in partnership with National Theatre Wales, Voice Box, Gloucester Culture Trust and Hull Truck and is generously supported by Colin and Helen David.
