American Jazz band The Hot Sardines perform their raucous live show as part of In the Round.

Take a blustery brass front line, add a salty stride piano in the timeless image of Fats Waller, a frontwoman with the attitude and style of a 30s cabaret diva, and you have The Hot Sardines. And that’s not to mention the tap dancer.

The Sardine sound is steeped in hot jazz and gypsy swing for an infectious marriage of early-American jazz and French culture.

The evening will see support from Roundhouse Resident Artist Blackfish Collective in Torquil’s Bar.
