Part of The Last Word Festival, celebrating fearless storytelling.
If you want to hear the next big names in spoken word and the freshest voices around, you need to bag yourself a seat at the Roundhouse Poetry Slam 2018.
The Slam Final is a huge event on the spoken word scene and showcases emerging talent from around the UK. Once the poets step up to the mic you can hear a pin drop – not easy in our huge venue – and you’re hooked for the whole night.
Last year’s runner up Suhaiymah Manzoor Khan got global recognition for the poem she performed at last year’s slam, and now has her own solo show in this year’s Last Word Festival.
The poetry slam judges this year are as follows:
Saul Williams
Cecilia Knapp
Yomi Sode
Jack Rooke will host the final.
The finalists are:
Chifa Khelfaoui
Ellen Renton
Katie Greenall
Honey Birch
Chloë Florence
Madeleine Accalia
Rakaya Fetuga
Ropafadzo Chinyoka
