Part of The Last Word Festival, celebrating fearless storytelling.
Jade Anouka performs poems from her pamphlet Eggs On Toast and new work. She is joined by four times beatboxer Grace Savage, for a selection of the poems.
Jade is an award-winning actress, known for her TV performances on Mike Bartlett’s ITV drama Trauma and in theatre, most recently for Donmar Warehouse’s all-female Shakespeare Trilogy.
Jade’s beautiful poetry is no frills. Brave, raw and exposing, Jade’s writing is an open book where the words are carefully plucked pearls, fit for the neck of any human just growing, falling and making their way in the world.
