The Unsung is a raucous funeral party for the dead musicians you’ve never heard of.

A journey in spoken word and music from Sheffield poet Genevieve Carver and her live band Sarah Sharp, Tim Knowles and Brian Bestall, The Unsung takes you on a whirlwind tour around the world exploring how music has shattered the lives of those who’ve loved it most.

Hosted by Joe Kriss, the evening will also feature support slots from spoken word poets Deanna Rodger, Kayo Chingonyi, Alabaster Deplume and Matt Abbott.

Wordlife are one of the leading literature organisations in the country. Based in Yorkshire, they present a one off show at the Roundhouse with a headline full length show from one of the leading figures in the northern spoken word scene and a stellar support list of the leading poets in the UK.

The Roundhouse goes to extraordinary lengths to provide opportunities for young people to be heard.
