Two young poetry collectives, Spit The Atom and Roundhouse Poetry Collective, present new works at The Last Word festival.
Spit The Atom
Spoken word collective Spit The Atom present their debut show Uncomfortable.
Are you sitting comfortably? Maybe it’s time to reconsider.
Exploring what raises shackles, brings a tear and makes them squirm in a post-truth climate, these poets are searching home and away for a way to speak critically in an increasingly unpredictable world.
Spit The Atom formed during the Roundhouse and BBC1Xtra collaboration Words First. Now having flown the nest, they’re making waves in the London poetry scene.
Roundhouse Poetry Collective
Roundhouse Poetry Collective are a group of talented young poets aged 18-25, currently working on a year-long development programme with Roundhouse mentors including celebrated spoken word artists Bohdan Piasecki and Debris Stevenson. The Roundhouse Poetry Collective are looking forward to sharing their stories with you as part of this double bill of shows.
