The Roundhouse is one of the few venues in the UK with an in-house broadcast facility, bringing its exciting live arts and music programme to screens across the world, and crewed by diverse young people graduating from its renowned Bloomberg intensive training programme.
This course provides an introduction to broadcasting live entertainment and arts shows for TV and online for those who are potentially interested in a broadcasting career, or just curious. You will learn about how a live show is brought to the screen and the production and technical job roles involved. You will discover the career opportunities that exist in a rapidly-expanding industry.
This FREE online programme will consist of a series of talks and Q&A sessions from leading industry professionals such as Jan Genesis, multi-camera director on “Love Island” and “I’m a Celebrity…” among others. There will also be live tech demos and opportunities to engage with production processes through practical activity. We’ll wrap up the programme by showing you the next steps for starting a career in live TV and streaming.
Applicants should be prepared to spend a few hours a week to work on independent tasks.
