One of the most incredible nights in the Roundhouse calendar, 12 young poets from Hull, Gloucester and London, went head-to-head in the 2019 Poetry Slam Final. The winner took home the coveted Slam title and £500 in prize money.

The night, hosted by renowned poet Joelle Taylor, saw each participant perform in two rounds of poetry and scored by spoken-word heavyweights Bridget Minamore, Caleb Femi and Laura Dockrill. For the first-time ever, attending audiences were also able to cast a live vote for their favourite artist.

Kareem Parkin-Brown came first place, catch one of his winning pieces ‘Another Brudda Moves to the Borough Tries to Impress me But Offends Me’ above.
