The Roundhouse Film Fund is a programme that supports young, emerging filmmakers in producing early, calling-card work as well as platforming and positioning them in a professional industry context.

Equipped with a small production budget, access to facilities and specialist mentoring, our five filmmakers completed their films over the course of 2020 and 2021. On Tuesday 16 November 2021, all of their stunning work was screened at a packed out event at the Roundhouse, attended by supporters and industry professionals.

On this page, you can read about each young filmmaker and their journeys, as well as of course, watch their brilliant films.

At the event, Roundhouse also presented the inaugural Wiggin Emerging Filmmakers Award to one of the filmmakers. In addition to further mentoring from experienced professionals and mentors from media law firm, Wiggin LLP, the award will support that filmmaker to make a bigger budget film and/or receive further professional development support to advance their career further.

The Roundhouse Film Fund is made possible with support from the Ex-Animo Foundation, the Wiggin Charitable Foundation and the British Film Institute.
