What is the project about?
Create the music for a Roundhouse show in collaboration with spoken word performers and digital artists. Explore political themes across two intensive weeks, culminating in a performance for family and friends.
What will I get from taking part?
By taking part in this project you will:
• Devise a brand new show in collaboration with digital artists and spoken word performers
• Learn how to work to a brief
• Discover how to use music and sound to tell stories in new contexts
• Develop your musical skills and collaborate with other young instrumentalists
• Perform in the show on the final day of the project
Who will be teaching the project?
This project will be led by professional musicians, guest artists and lead by a director.
Do I need any particular skills or experience to take part?
To get the most out of this project you should have at least two years’ experience of playing a musical instrument, an interest in writing music and collaboration with other art forms.
Is there anything I need to bring or wear?
All equipment can be provided by our Tech Store, but if you have your own instrument please bring it with you.
