30/30 is one of the Roundhouse’s flagship music projects for 16-25 year olds that sees us partner with EMI to discover 30 unsigned acts, match them with a top producer and give them recording time in our state-of-the-art recording studio.

The results are the 30/30 album which will be launched tonight, featuring live performances from emerging acts IAm1, The Tuts, Demo, Blazer Splitz Boys and Vanessa Gimenez alongside Roundhouse Band Slam winner Callum Rafferty and a set from young DJ, Joss Ryan.

iAm1 is the sum of 2 people, singer/song writer Oli Rose and MC ‘Origin’ (Jamie Wallace). From diverse backgrounds and influences they merge Oli’s traditional songwriting roots with Origins original flows and self inflicting lyrics. Bursting onto the London scene in 2008 with a set firmly rooted in acoustic/spoken-word, they are as comfortable in a folk setting as they are with a grime audience.

Harriet, Nadia and Beverley, a.k.a The Tuts, are a punk / ska / indie band who put on a raucous live show. Check out some of their videos here and see for yourself.

Demo is an 18 year old rapper/singer/songwriter from Harrow, NW London. Strongly influenced by Eminem, he started writing songs aged 11 and has since supported the likes of N-Dubz, Skepta and Mclean on tour.

Blazer Splitz Boys are three focussed young men who started writing and performing together at just age ten. Balancing their school studies with trips stateside to meet record label execs, Blazer Splitz Boys are definitely ones to watch.
Vanessa Gimenez is already building quite a reputation for her unique acoustic cover versions on YouTube. Check out her rendition of Adele’s “Skyfall”:http://www.youtube.com/vanessaforyou

14 year old singer/songwriter Callum Rafferty recently won the Roundhouse’s ‘Band Slam’ competition – check out his newest video for “Do You Remember”:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbA84igKWzI

Up and coming DJ Joss Ryan first came to our attention via the Roundhouse’s Ontrack project last year, remixing tracks by other emerging artists from last year’s 30/30 project. He’ll be taking over the decks for tonight’s 30/30 launch party.
